Derby County (2007-2008)
It is with some amazement that Derby do not hold the official title of the worst start to the season ever after achieving just a measly 11 points over the course of 2007-08.
Surprisingly, the Rams accumulated more than half of their overall points tally in the first 12 games of the season, with three draws and a victory against Newcastle.
This was some season for Derby though. Not only did they manage to beat Sunderland’s lowest point tally record, but they also went on the longest run of games without a victory (32) and remain the only team to win just one league game in a Premier League season.
