4. Kelechi Iheanacho

There aren’t many academy players who can challenge for a first-team place in Manchester City’s squad but Iheanacho did exactly that in 2015/16 campaign, scoring 14 times in 35 games.

Towards the end of the season; the young Nigerian had increased his playing time and, despite the club only managing a fourth placed finish, Iheanacho was certainly able to showcase his talent.

He will face competition for a place from Sergio Aguero, Wilfried Bony and Nolito, so it will be interesting to see how the 19-year-old fits in to manager Pep Guardiola’s plans.

However with four caps already for his country, scoring and assisting on four occasions, Iheanacho should definitely not be ignored this season.
