Tottenham Hotspur host German giants Bayern Munich on Saturday, in their final friendly before the new Premier League season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were beaten 2-1 by the Bavarians last weekend, although former Spurs talisman Harry Kane could return for Saturday’s fixture after missing the last meeting.

Postecoglou will hope to see his side impress in their final pre-season clash of the summer, before they face newly-promoted Leicester City on the opening weekend of the new campaign.

In the meantime, the North London outfit have agreed a huge deal for a one-time England international.

As per Sky Sports, Spurs have reached an agreement for a £65 million move to sign Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

The Englishman enjoyed a fine season for the Cherries last term, scoring 19 goals in 38 Premier League matches.

Solanke looks set to join Tottenham this summer

That form seems to have attracted interest from the Lilywhites, and they have now agreed to pay an initial fee of £55 million with a potential extra £10 million in add-ons, the report claims.

Spurs have been on the hunt for a new striker since the departure of Kane to Bayern last summer, but they are yet to find a replacement.

Last term, captain Son Heung-Min was primarily used centrally, rather than his more natural position on the flank.

Postecoglou and those in charge of the club’s recruitment have been working hard to find a natural striker, though, and it appears that Solanke will be the man to succeed Kane as the club’s first choice centre forward.

Solanke’s current contract with the Cherries doesn’t expire until the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but he looks almost certain to leave the south coast in the coming days.

As and when the deal is finalised, Solanke’s former club Liverpool could be due a fee of around £10 million due to a sell-on clause that was included in the deal when the player left Anfield to join Bournemouth five years ago.
