Tottenham Hotspur have reach an agreement to sign Burnley winger Wilson Odobert.

The Lilywhites announced on Friday morning that the 19-year-old will sign a long-term contract running until the end of the 2028/29 campaign.

The deal, which is subject to the usual formalities, will see Odobert swap Turf Moor for North London, where he will wear the number 28 shirt.

Odobert is a product of Paris Saint-German’s prestigious youth academy, but departed the French capital to join Troyes as a free agent in 2022.

During his time with Troyes, Odobert scored four goals and provided two assists, earning him a move to the Clarets last summer.

The teenager enjoyed a relatively impressive debut season in England, scoring four times and registering three assists across all competitions, but he was unable to prevent Burnley from being relegated back to the Championship.

Arguably Odobert’s most memorable moment in a Clarets shirt came in October, when he scored his first goal for the club against Chelsea.

The attacker also scored during Burnley’s 4-1 win over Luton Town on the opening weekend of the Championship season earlier this week.

Odobert has represented France at several age-group levels and is currently part of Les Bleus’ under-21s.

The Frenchman becomes Spurs’ fifth signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Dominic Solanke and Min-hyeok Yang.
