Tottenham and West Ham United are set to go head-to-head this summer in order to sign Belgium international Michy Batshuayi, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Premier League sides, who currently sit second and seventh in the standings respectively after 26 fixtures, have been linked with moves for the Marseille hitman throughout the previous two transfer windows – summer (2015) and January (2016).
The 22-year-old, who has two international goals in his two appearances for his country, has scored an impressive 15 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season.
Batshuayi, who is valued at around £25m, has only recently signed a new deal with the French club to keep him at the Stade Velodrome until 2020.
The report suggests Premier League rivals Stoke City made a last minute bid of £21m for the Belgian ace during the close of last month’s transfer window, meanwhile relegation threatened Newcastle United have also been admirers of the striker’s talent.
