Having guided Tottenham Hotspur to a first trophy in 17 years, manager Ange Postecoglou will be turning his attention to the transfer market.

The Lilywhites endured a torrid domestic campaign, ultimately finishing 17th in the Premier League table, but ended a long wait for silverware by beating rivals Manchester United in the Europa League final in Bilbao last month.

Despite guiding the North London outfit to Europe’s secondary club trophy, Postecoglou is still under significant pressure having overseen one of the worst domestic campaigns in the club’s recent history.

Spurs lost 22 of their 38 Premier League matches, Tottenham finished only above the three relegated sides in the standings.

Speculation has been rife that Postecoglou may be sacked despite winning the Europa League, but Fabrizio Romano claims that a decision has not yet been made.

Romano claims that the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy, is set to make a decision on the Australian’s future in the coming days.

Levy is said to be an admirer of both Brentfod boss Thomas Frank and Fulham manager Marco Silva, but Postecoglou could still remain in his post.

Postecoglou took charge of Tottenham ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, having enjoyed huge success at previous side Celtic.

He enjoyed a fine start to life in London, but his side ultimately missed out on qualification for the Champions League and instead entered the Europa League.

Spurs went all the way in that competition, though, lifting a trophy for the first time since a League Cup triumph in 2008.

Romano claims that both Frank and Silva have been discussed by those in charge at Tottenham as possible replacement for Postecoglou if he is sacked.
