Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a potential loan move for Barcelona flop Malcom after Harry Kane injury scare.

According to the Daily Star, Spurs are looking to bring the forward to North London as a back-up if Kane’s recent injury rules him out for an extended period of time.

Physios are waiting for the swelling on Kane’s ankle to go down before they can perform a full scan to determine the full extent of the injury.

Fears are growing that the England skipper could be out for three weeks, with Spurs already losing Son Heung-min to the Asian Cup this week, they are thin on the ground for firepower.

This had lead to interest in Brazilian winger Malcom, despite his poor form at the Camp Nou this season.

Malcom was sensational for Bordeaux last term, scoring 12 goals in Ligue 1.

Twenty-one-year-old Malcom signed from Bordeaux in the summer for £36.5million but has yet to score and has started just one La Liga match all season.

The young prospect can play anywhere in the front three, meaning he would provide much needed cover for both Kane and Son.

It’s is claimed the South American was offered to Chelsea as part of a cash plus player deal for Willian earlier this month, which is what alerted Tottenham to his availability.
