The Premier League returns on Saturday afternoon with Tottenham Hotspur hosting West Ham United in an intriguing London derby.

The Lilywhites have so far endured a relatively disappointing start to the new season and sit ninth in the top flight table with just three wins from seven games.

Manager Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to see his side kick on after the international break, and the visit of the Hammers could provide the perfect opportunity to kickstart his side’s campaign.

Off the pitch, Spurs right-back Pedro Porro continues to be linked with a move to Spain, and it appears that Tottenham have identified a Serie A star as a potential replacement.

As per Inter Live via GiveMeSport, the North London side have identified Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries as a potential target if they do have to replace Porro.

Right-back Porro has been linked with a move to Spanish and European champions Real Madrid, and Tottenham may therefore have to source a replacement for the Spaniard.

Dumfries has emerged as a surprise target for Tottenham

Dumfries, 28, joined Inter from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven three years ago and has since established himself as one of the best attacking wing-backs in Europe.

In total he has played 139 times for the Italian side, helping them to the Serie A title last term.

He has fallen out of favour recently, though, with former Manchester United man Matteo Darmian seemingly Inter’s first choice on the right.

Dumfries’ contract with the Milan outfit – believed to earn him £51,000-per-week –  is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, meaning he could sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign side from January onwards.

The Netherlands international was a target for Spurs two years ago but, having failed to sign him back then, the London side could revisit their interest if Porro does move to the Spanish capital.
