The transfer window is now in full swing, and clubs across the Premier League are completing deals ahead of the start of the new campaign next month.

One of the clubs that will be hoping to bolster their squad this summer is Tottenham Hotspur, with manager Ange Postecoglou keen to build on his first season in charge.

The Australian took charge of Spurs last summer after departing Scottish champions Celtic, and made an instant impact in North London with the Lilywhites topping the table after ten games.

Their form dipped towards the end of the campaign, though, and the North London side eventually finished fifth and missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Now, though, Spurs are closing in on the signing of one of the most highly rated young players in the country.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Archie Gray has now signed a contract ahead of a £40 million move to Tottenham.

The Italian journalist suggests that the final stages of the deal are now being completed, with official confirmation expected very soon.

Gray, 18, is a versatile player that primarily plays as either a right-back or central defensive midfielder, but he has also played further forward and on the flank for the Whites.

The teenager is a product of Leeds’ youth academy and, having made his senior debut at the start of last term, he has now played 52 times for the club, providing two assists.

While Gray is London-bound, Romano also claims that Tottenham defender Joe Rodon has put pen to paper on a contract with Leeds, with the Welshman set to complete a £10 million move in the opposite direction.

The centre-back joined Spurs from Swansea City in 2020 but has only ever played 24 times for the North London outfit, and has had a number of loan spells away from the club.
