Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester City in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have endured a rather underwhelming campaign so far, and were beaten 1-0 by London rivals Crystal Palace in their last Premier League outing on Sunday.

The Australian has a history of achieving success in his second season with clubs, and the Carabao Cup may be Spurs’ most realistic opportunity to lift silverware this term.

Postecoglou and those in charge of the club will also have one eye on the January transfer window.

With the mid-season window fast approaching, Spurs are said to be anticipating offers for one of their young stars.

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham are expecting to receive loan offers for teenager Archie Gray during the upcoming window.

Gray is expected to be the subject of loan interest during the January transfer window

Gray, 18, joined the Lilywhites from boyhood club Leeds United over the summer and has since made eight appearances for Spurs across all competitions, including four Premier League games.

His only starts have been in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup, though, and he is yet to start a single game in his favoured midfield role.

The report claims that Tottenham are anticipating that interested clubs could test their resolve in January with offers to sign the player on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Gray, who can play in midfield or at right-back, is said to have attracted interest from clubs in both the Premier League and the Championship.

The England Under-21 international is currently behind the likes of Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr in the pecking order of midfielders at the North London club.

Gray signed a long-term contract when signing for Spurs, which isn’t set to expire until the summer of 2030.
