Tottenham are reportedly hopeful of completing a £7.5m January deal for France striker Wissam Ben Yedder, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who convincingly defeated struggling Sunderland 4-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday, have turned to the highly-rated Toulouse forward after being priced out of a move for West Brom hitman Saido Berahino this month.

The 25-year-old, who is a former France Under-21 international, has scored an impressive 13 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Spurs, who had four bids rejected for England Under-21 striker Berahino back in the summer, have decided to pursue Ben Yedder’s services instead as Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace is refusing to lower his £25m valuation for the out-of-favour forward.
