Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is interested in securing Watford’s Abdoluyae Doucare in January, according to the Mirror.

Victor Wanyama is the player touted to move on in order to make way for the Hornets’ box-to-box player.

The Kenyan’s form has dipped since the knee injury he picked up in pre-season, and now finds himself behind Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks.

Watford boss Javi Gracia will be desperate to keep hold of the man who has been a revelation since joining the club in 2016.

Victor Wanyama could be the man to make way for Doucoure.

Rated at £35m, Pochettino will be hoping his club’s hierarchy dip into their savings following a baron summer on the transfer front.

However, the north London club could face competition from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG who are all reportedly tracking the midfielder’s progress.

Last season, Doucoure netted seven times and was present for all but one Premier League games.
