Tottenham are reportedly considering making a £25 million summer move for Liverpool and England midfielder, Jordan Henderson, according to the Sun on Sunday.

Spurs are second and still chasing what would be their first ever Premier League title, and with Liverpool’s changes of making the top four diminishing, Mauricio Pochettino is ready to make a surprise swoop on their top flight rivals with the offer of Champions League football.

After enjoying their best season for a number of years, chairman Daniel Levy knows he needs to back his manager during the summer, especially with the Argentine being heavily linked with Manchester United.

It is unclear whether Henderson, who is the Reds’ captain, would want to depart Anfield at the end of the season though, especially as he is major part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the Merseyside outfit going forward, but he could be tempted by the lure of playing in Europe’s elite club competition.
