Tottenham are reportedly facing a battle to keep hold of manager Antonio Conte, with French side Paris-Saint Germain interested in the Italian.

The Ligue 1 champions are believed to be on the verge of sacking Mauricio Pochettino, and Conte has reportedly offered himself to the club on a two-year deal.

As per Le Parisien via GFFN, the Argentine is set to be sacked in the coming days, with the two parties having to come to a financial agreement as he and his staff have 12 months remaining on their current contracts.

Pochettino’s side secured the French top flight title over the weekend, but PSG’s poor performance in the Champions League has left those in charge at the club on the brink of sacking him.

Several of the club’s fans walked out of their 1-1 draw with Lens on Saturday, in protest at Pochettino and his management.

Pochettino is expected to be sacked by PSG in the coming days

Frenchman Zinedine Zidane would be PSG’s first choice to take over from Pochettino, however the former Real Madrid boss is keen on taking over from Didier Deschamps after the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

That could open the door for Conte to take over, despite having spent just six months in north London with Spurs.

The report also claims that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has kept in regular contact with ex-Spurs boss Pochettino in recent months, with a view to persuading the Argentine to return to the club.

That implies that there is a realistic chance that Pochettino and Conte could swap roles, with the Italian moving to the French capital and Pochettino returning to Tottenham.

Pochettino enjoyed a successful period in London, guiding the club to the Champions League final in 2019.
