Tottenham are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Championship starlet Ademola Lookman this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League side, who currently sit second in the English top-flight standings and face Stoke City on Monday night at the Britannia Stadium, are among a host of potential suitors interested in landing the highly-rated Charlton Athletic forward once the current 2015-16 campaign has drawn to a close.

The 18-year-old; who only penned a new deal with the Addicks back in February, although the contract includes an undisclosed release clause, has scored four goals and provided one assist in 19 league appearances for the relegation threatened Championship outfit so far this season.

Lookman, who was playing non-league football with Waterloo FC only two years ago, is also being closely monitored by Ronald Koeman’s Southampton.

Should Charlton suffer relegation to League One this term, the report suggests that Lookman’s availability will spark vast Premier League interest this summer.
