Tottenham are finally set to seal a deal to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino in the summer, according to The Observer.

It is understood that, in principle, the Baggies have agreed that the 22-year-old can move to White Hart Lane at the end of the season, and it would end a transfer saga that has been rumbling on for many transfer windows now.

Spurs has four bid rejected for the attacker last summer, and despite a transfer request being submitted by the former England Under-21 international, the deal fell apart because of the acrimony between the two clubs.

Albion turned down offers from Newcastle and Stoke in January because of worries that they could sucked into the relegation battle this term, but now there has been an acceptance that he will finally leave the Hawthorns in the summer.

Berahino has scored 35 goals in 101 appearances for West Brom in all competitions.
