Tottenham Hotspur face Bayern Munich in their final pre-season friendly of the summer on Saturday ,just a week after being beaten 2-1 by the German side.

The Lilywhites had won four consecutive friendlies before defeat against the Bavarian giants on Saturday.

Manager Ange Postecoglou will hope to see his side return to winning ways when they two teams meet once again on Saturday, before Spurs begin their Premier League campaign against Leicester City.

In the meantime, it appears that the North London outfit are interested in a Premier League striker.

As per Football Insider, Tottenham have a ‘strong interest’ in Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke.

Solanke has attracted interest from Tottenham

The 26-year-old enjoyed a superb season for the Cherries last term, scoring 21 goals in 42 games for the south coast club across all competitions.

It is claimed that Postecoglou is keen to sign a replacement for Harry Kane – who departed the club to join Bayern last summer – before the current window shuts.

Last season, club captain Son Heung-Min was primarily used centrally in the absence of Kane, but it is claimed that Postecoglou is now keen to add a natural centre forward to his squad before the start of the upcoming season.

Solanke has therefore emerged as a contender for the North London side, with the Englishman having a £65 million release clause in his current contract.

The report also suggests that Solanke – who has one senior cap for England – is keen on the idea of a move to Spurs.

If Solanke’s release clause is met, his former side Liverpool will earn £13 million due to a sell-on percentage clause that was included in the deal that took him to Bournemouth.

Despite their interest in the striker, Spurs have not yet made an official offer for the player, who is contracted to the Cherries until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
