Tottenham Hotspur will hope to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat against Manchester City when they face Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Lilywhites were beaten 1-0 by the reigning champions in the Premier League on Wednesday evening, ending a run of three straight victories for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Spurs, alongside Premier League rivals Manchester United, are one of the favourites to win the Europa League this season.

Postecoglou has a strong record of delivering silverware in his second season at his previous clubs, and Tottenham supporters will be hoping that the Australian can repeat the trick in North London this time around.

Off the pitch, it appears that Spurs are eyeing a huge move to sign two stars from one of their London rivals.

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham are eyeing a huge move for Crystal Palace stars Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi.

Guehi has been linked with several different clubs over the past 18 months

The duo – who also both represent England on the international stage – have been in fine form for the Eagles over the past couple of seasons, and it appears their strong performances have attracted interest from elsewhere.

It is claimed that Postecoglou is keen to bolster his squad when the transfer window reopens this summer, and the former Celtic boss has identified the two Palace stars as key targets.

Eze, 26, joined the Eagles from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 and has since registered a combined 56 goals and assists in 152 matches for the London club.

Guehi, meanwhile, arrived at Selhurst Park from Chelsea in 2021 and is now the Palace captain.

The centre-back has played more than 140 times for his current side across all competitions, and his impressive form has seen him establish himself as a regular for the Three Lions.

It is claimed that the duo could cost as much as £138 million in total.
