Tottenham Hotspur could have lined up first January signing under Antonio Conte, according to Football Italia. 

Conte joined the club a couple of weeks ago and takes hold of a side that has struggled this campaign.

Spurs find themselves in 9th position in the league, a staggering 13 points off leaders Chelsea after just 11 league games.

The ex Chelsea and Inter Milan manager has a big job on his hands to try and turn the North London side’s hopes around. Their activity in the January transfer window will be vitally important.

Much of the criticism towards Spurs was their failure to land a backup striker for Harry Kane, leaving immense pressure on the star froward.

But reports in Italy suggest not only will Spurs have backup, but potentially someone who could play alongside Kane in Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serie A hitman is reportedly wanted by giants Manchester City and Juventus but Spurs could sign the striker with a transfer record fee.
