Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho attempts to hijack Man Utd transfer with private phone call, according to Spanish website OkDiario.

It is thought that United are keen to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon who impressed hugely whilst on loan at Sevilla last season, winning the Champions League.

The left back has already appeared for his country and with his pace and at just 23-years-old is thought of as one of Europe’s hottest young prospects.

Mourinho will be hoping for summer acquisitions.

United are not the only team interested in the La Liga left back, with top four rivals Tottenham Hotspur also thought to be keen to sign the talented player.

OkDiario have suggested that Spurs boss Mourinho put in a private personal call to Reguilon in an attempt to outsmart his old employers and sign the full back.

With Danny Rose shipped out, Ben Davies injury prone and Serge Aurier’s form very tempormental, it’s clear the Portuguese boss would like to add some full-back firepower to his squad this season.
