Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday as they cruised to a 3-1 win over Brentford.

After falling behind to Bryan Mbeumo’s strike, the Lilywhites turned the game on its head through goals from Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson, before James Maddison added a third late on.

The result leaves Ange Postecoglou’s side tenth in the top flight standings, and the Australian will hope that his side can now kick on with their campaign.

In the meantime, Spurs are said to be one of a number of clubs interested in a Turkish attacker.

As per CaughtOffside, Tottenham are interested in Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The 24-year-old has started the new season impressively, scoring four times in nine games across all competitions.

Postecoglou could look to bolster his squad in January

It is claimed that several teams, including Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest and Brighton and Hove Albion, are interested in the Turkey international.

Yilmaz primarily operates on the right flank but can also play on the left, and his versatility could appeal to those in charge of Tottenham’s recruitment.

The winger joined Galatasaray from fellow Turkish side Ankara Keciorengucu back in 2021 and has since made more than 110 appearances for his current side.

It is claimed that Galatasaray are demanding a fee of around £25 million for Yilmaz, who was the subject of an offer of around £16 million from the Seagulls last summer.

The report suggests that Brighton could increase their offer to around £20 million in an effort to sign the player next year, while Tottenham have not yet made any sort of formal approach for the Turk.

Yilmaz is contracted to Galatasaray until the end of the 2026/27 season, but he could leave the club prior to then if his impressive form continues to attract interest from elsewhere in Europe.
