Tottenham are reportedly ready to go head-to-head with Manchester United in the race to land Netherlands international Anwar El Ghazi this summer, according to Fichajes (via the Daily Star).

The Premier League side, who salvaged a 1-1 draw at Anfield against Liverpool on Sunday, but slipped seven points adrift of league leaders Leicester City in the standings, have identified the Ajax starlet as a transfer target once the current 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

The 20-year-old, who made his international debut against Kazakhstan, has impressively scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie outfit so far this season.

El Ghazi, who has been monitored by the Red Devils throughout this term, has been highlighted by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino as a future star following his stand out displays in his homeland this year.

The winger has netted 21 times in 75 games for Ajax since making his first-team debut back in 2014.
