Tottenham Hotspur look set to undergo a major rebuild this summer under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs hired the former Celtic man on a four-year deal earlier this month, following a disastrous campaign.

The Lilywhites missed out on European football for next term after they finished eighth place in the Premier League, with three different managers taking charge over the course of the season.

A poor run of form prompted the sacking of Antonio Conte in March and his successor, Cristian Stellini, was then dismissed in April after failing to improve the side.

Ryan Mason was placed in interim charge for the remainder of the campaign, but the former midfielder was unable to prevent Spurs from finishing eighth and missing out on European qualification.

Chairman Daniel Levy hired Postecoglou after the Australian guided Celtic to a Scottish Cup triumph, completing a domestic treble this term.

Now that the 56-year-old has arrived in north London, he is eager to model his side and offload players that aren’t in his plans.

With that in mind, Spurs are reportedly considering a sensational move for a Manchester United star this summer.

According to the Daily Star, Tottenham are considering a £50m swoop for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

Jadon Sancho is one of Tottenham’s targets for this summer transfer window

Sancho, 23, was considered one of the hottest prospects in football at Borussia Dortmund before he made a £72m switch to Manchester United in 2020.

Since joining the Red Devils, the forward has struggled to recreate the form he demonstrated in Germany, causing him to fall down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

This term, the England international scored six times and registered three assists in 26 Premier League appearances, although he struggled to maintain a starting spot ahead of the likes of Marcus Rashford and Antony.

It has been reported that Manchester United will seek around £60m for the England international, who is contracted to the club until the summer of 2026.

It remains to be seen whether or not United would be willing to sell Sancho to a direct rival, although United themselves are hoping to lure Harry Kane from north London to Manchester.
