Tottenham Hotspur travel to face high-flying Nottingham Forest when the Premier League returns on Thursday.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have endured a difficult start to the campaign and currently sit 11th in the top flight table, having won just seven of their 17 games so far.

The Australian, who is now in his second season in charge of the Lilywhites, has come under fire in recent months for his reluctance to adapt his team’s approach to games.

Having beaten Manchester City 4-0 in November, Spurs have since won just one of their last five Premier League games.

Those n charge of the club’s recruitment could delve into the transfer market when it reopens in January, but it also appears that the North London outfit have been offered the chance to sign a player as a free agent next summer.

According to TBR Football, Tottenham have been offered the opportunity to sign Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell next summer.

Mitchel is attracting interest from several clubs, with his contract set to expire next summer

The two-time England international is in the final year of his current contract with the Eagles, and the report claims that talks over an extension have so far failed to make progress.

Mitchell, 25, is a graduate of Palace’s youth system and has played more than 150 times for the London club across all competitions.

The defender’s next league game will be his 150th in the top flight, and the report claims that his experience in the competition has attracted interest from several clubs.

Spurs are said to be one of those that have been offered the chance to land the Englishman, with Postecoglou keen to bolster his options at left-back.

The defender is capable of playing as a left-sided full-back or wing-back, which could make him a suitable option to bolster Postecoglou’s squad next summer.
