Tottenham forward Erik Lamela has dismissed rumours that he could leave the club and re-join Inter Milan this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Argentina international has been linked with a return to Italy on a number of occasions since joining Spurs in a club-record £30 million deal from Roma in 2013, after initially struggling to make an impact at White Hart Lane with the pace of the English top-flight.

However, the 24-year-old flourished under his Argentine compatriot, Mauricio Pochettino, last term, as the north London outfit challenged Leicester City for the Premier League title until the final few matches of the campaign, eventually finishing third and qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League.

Lamela finished the 2015/16 season with 11 goals – his best total to date with Tottenham – and he has been impressive on the club’s pre-season tour of Australia this summer, scoring in the 2-1 defeat to Juventus last week.
