Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to continue their impressive start to the season when they face Sheffield United at home on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou currently has his side sitting in second place in the Premier League after tallying 10 points from four games.

Goals from vice captains James Maddison and Cristian Romero and a hat-trick from skipper Son Heung-Min guided the Lilywhites to a 5-2 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor last time out.

The North Londoners are performing above expectations so far despite crashing out of the Carabao Cup in the second round after a 1-0 defeat to Fulham.

Many people expected Spurs to struggle this season after they sold their all-time top goal scorer Harry Kane.

The England International scored 278 goals for the Lilywhites after coming through the academy and even netted 30 goals for the club last season despite a dismal campaign which saw the side finish eighth in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old reportedly moved to the Bavarian giants for an initial £86m, which could rise to £100 million, leaving Richarlison as Spurs’ only natural centre forward.

However, it appears that Spurs could have lost the Brazilian last week.

According to The Telegraph, Richarlison was the subject of late interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad on the Saudi transfer window’s deadline day.

Richarlison has scored just one Premier League goal since joining Spurs last summer

The report claims that the Pro League side targeted the forward after their proposed move for Liverpool star Mohammed Salah failed.

Richarlison, 26, made the switch to North London from Everton for around £60 million last summer.

The Brazilian international bagged 53 goals and contributed 14 assists in 152 total appearances for the Toffees, but he has struggled to recreate that form in the capital.

Last season, the striker netted three goals and notched up four assists in 35 games in all competitions for the North London outfit, scoring just once in the Premier League.

He has continued the new campaign in similar fashion, scoring just once in five matches across all competitions so far.

The striker will no doubt be presented with another opportunity by Postecoglou to prove he can play a crucial role in the side this season, however he was left on the bench for Spurs’ win over the Clarets last time out.
