Brentford midfielder has admitted he would ‘love to play in the Champions League’, amid speculation linking him with former club Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dane is currently nearing the end of a six-month contract with the Bees, but it remains to be seen where he will be playing next season.

As per Viaplay via Football365, the midfielder is currently considering the options available to him.

“I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then we make a decision,” he told the outlet.

“I would love to play Champions League football again.”

The Danish international did, however reveal that playing Champions League football will not completely determine his decision.

“I know how much fun it is, but it isn’t essential for me,” he said.

Eriksen’s corner was met by Wissa to draw Brentford level against Everton for a second time

The 30-year-old has been instrumental for Brentford since arriving in January, scoring once and providing four assists in 10 league matches.

Eriksen set up Yoane Wissa’s second goal against Everton on Sunday, as the Bees came from behind twice to beat the Toffees at Goodison Park.

It seems that the midfielder’s form has alerted former club Spurs, as the Lilywhites are said to be keen on luring the midfielder back to north London.

While it is not yet known whether or not a return to Spurs is one of the options Eriksen is considering, the Lilywhites’ win over rivals Arsenal last week may well have kept their hopes of signing the player alive.

If Antonio Conte’s side had lost to the Gunners, they would have lost all hope of securing a top four spot, but their 3-0 win means that the race for fourth place will go down to the final game of the season.
