Several Premier League players will be representing their respective countries at major tournaments this summer.

While The European Championships is taking place in Germany, the Copa America is also taking place in South America, with the United States of America hosting.

Most Premier League sides will have at least one player on international duty this summer, including Tottenham Hotspur who have several representatives for different nations.

The likes of Micky van de Ven, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Guglielmo Vicario will represent the Netherlands, Denmark and Italy respectively, while Giovani Lo Celso has also been selected for Argentina despite his lack of playing time at Spurs.

Now, though, Tottenham have told the midfielder to find himself a new club, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the Argentina international is surplus to requirements in Ange Postecoglou’s side, and the club have therefore instructed him to source a move away.

Lo Celso looks likely to leave Tottenham this summer

Lo Celso, 28, is set to be out of contract next summer and the Lilywhites are therefore willing to accept a cut-price fee for the player in order to avoid losing him for free at the end of next season.

The report claims that as little as £15 million could be enough to persuade Spurs to part company with the player during the upcoming transfer window.

Previously, he had been valued by Tottenham at around £50 million.

The Argentine joined Spurs from Spanish side Real Betis in 2019, and has since spent time on loan back at the club, as well as with fellow La Liga sides Valencia and Villarreal.

He has failed to ever establish himself as a regular for Tottenham, making 108 appearances for the club across all competitions since joining five years ago.

Last term the midfielder was limited to just 22 Premier League appearances, starting only four of them.
