Tottenham are ready to square up with Premier League rivals Everton over a January deal for Man United winger Memphis Depay, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.
The 22-year-old has fallen out of favour under former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and the Portuguese has reportedly given the green-light for his departure in January.
The former PSV Eindhoven winger, who arrived under former Red Devils boss Louis Van Gaal, had looked almost certain to join his compatriot Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park, along with former Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin – who has also fallen foul of Mourinho’s post-LVG overhaul.
However, it seems that the Toffees will now face stiff competition from north London, whilst Roma, Wolfsburg and Nice are also keeping tabs on his situation.
The Netherlands international has made just four Premier League appearances this term, totalling to 20 minutes playing time, and has made just four more outings in other competitions.
