Tottenham Hotspur will hope to finish the season strongly when they face Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites started the campaign in fantastic form and sat in first place after ten games, but they must now beat the Blades on the final day to ensure that they finish fifth and aren’t caught by London rivals Chelsea.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have won just once in their last six games, most recently when beaten 2-0 by league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday evening.

This summer could be a busy one for Tottenham, and it appears that the North London club could sign two new forwards, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that Spurs will target a new striker and a new senior wide forward during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Toney could be a target for Tottenham this summer

Brentford star Ivan Toney is named as one of the club’s prime targets as they search for a central striker, having struggled since the departure of Harry Kane to German side Bayern Munich last summer.

Since Kane’s move to Bavaria, the likes of Son Heung-Min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have been tasked with carrying Spurs’ attacking threat.

Richarlison has struggled to establish himself as Postecoglou’s regular centre forward, though, and those in charge of the club’s recruitment could therefore dip into the transfer market this summer.

The report even claims that Tottenham would consider offers in the region of £60 million for Richarlison this summer, in order to raise funds for further new arrivals.

The Brazil international has scored 11 goals in 28 Premier League matches so far this season, while club captain Son has netted 17 times in 34 games in the competition.
