Tottenham Hotspur travel to the south coast to face struggling Southampton on Saturday.

After three games without victory, The Lilywhites returned to winning ways on Saturday, defeating Nottingham Forest 3-1.

A brace from Harry Kane and a third goal from Son Heung-Min were enough to earn Spurs all three points, with the result keeping them in fourth place in the Premier League.

Despite the victory, there remains a great deal of uncertainty surrounding Tottenham, with the future of manager Antonio Conte still unclear.

Striker Harry Kane has also been linked with a move away from the club this summer, but it appears that he may not be allowed to leave.

According to Sky Sports, the north London outfit will not sell Kane during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report claims that Kane, who will enter into the final 12 months of his contract this summer, will not be sold despite the risk of Spurs losing him for free next year.

Kane won’t be sold by Tottenham this summer

Talks between the player and the club over a proposed contract extension are said to be on hold currently, although Spurs remain hopeful of persuading the England captain to commit his future to the club.

Manchester United are believed to be interested in the striker, but cannot afford to be drawn into a bidding war for the player.

The 29-year-old now faces the prospect of entering into the January window with the situation unresolved and, if he does, he would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign side.

Other clubs, including Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, have previously been linked with a move for the forward.

Since making his debut for Tottenham in 2011, Kane has scored a remarkable 270 goals in 424 matches across all competitions, as well as providing 63 assists.

The Englishman recently became Tottenham’s all-time top scorer, and is closing in on Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals.

At present, Kane has netted 203 times in the top flight, including his brace against Forest last time out.
