Tottenham have reportedly had a £23m January bid for Colombia international striker Jackson Martinez rejected, according to Marca.

The Premier League outfit, who visit Leicester City in their FA Cup third-round replay tonight, are interested in signing the Atletico Madrid forward this month to help Spurs push for a top-four finish this campaign.

The 29-year-old, who has 36 international caps for his country, has managed to score just three goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants this season.

Martinez; who only joined Atletico from FC Porto for £26.6m back in June 2015, has struggled to adapt to Spanish football, with manager Diego Simeone understood to be willing to offload the hitman this month as long as the club recoups the amount they splashed out last summer.
