Kyle Walker’s excellent cross for Daniel Sturridge set England on their way to victory over Scotland on Friday and, although he didn’t play against Spain on Tuesday, he’s England’s number one right-back at present.

The Spurs defender has been in fine form for his club this season, coming off the back of a decent European Championships, and he showed why he is both an attacking threat and defensively dependable against the Scots on Friday.

Like Rose, he offers England width and pace down the flanks, but has improved defensively in recent times.

Nathaniel Clyne will have to do something special to dislodge Walker from the starting eleven.
