Name: Dele Alli
Tottenham’s 19-year-old sensation has become a vital part of Spurs’ title challenge as he has won plaudits week after week for his string of impressive displays since he joined up with Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad last summer.
To say Alli’s impact on the Premier League this season has been impressive would be an understatement. At 19, he has already had comparisons to some of the Premier League’s all-time greats; Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes, to name a few. A statistic which has all Spurs fans feeling proud is that Alli has scored more league goals for Tottenham (7) than Jack Wilshere has for Arsenal (6).
The emergence of the Lilywhites midfielder has surely made him a shoo-in for a starting berth at the Euros in June, as Alli once again outlined his importance to Spurs as he stepped off the bench on the hour-mark in Saturday’s win over Watford, and moments later provided the crucial assist for Kieran Trippier’s winning goal.
With Tottenham tying him down to a new bumper five-year contract last month, the fans will be hoping to see him influencing games at White Hart Lane for many years to come.
