Everton striker Oumar Niasse could be set to end his Merseyside nightmare with a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor this summer, according to Fotospor (via Sport Witness).

The 27-year-old moved to Goodison Park in the winter of 2016 after impressing at Lokomotiv Moscow, yet he went on to make just seven appearances under Roberto Martinez, and failed to net in any of them.

And the arrival of Dutchman Ronald Koeman pushed the Senegal international further down the pecking order, all the way to the Under-23 side, before Hull gave him a Premier League lifeline in January of this year, and it was one he took with five goals for the Tigers.

Yet it doesn’t appear that Niasse has a future at Everton under Koeman, and as such speculation has been building about a potential move this summer, with Turkish top-flight side Trabzonspor reportedly considering a loan move for the striker.

The club are sixth in the Super Lig with just one game of the campaign remaining, yet their tally of just 38 goals scored is the least of any side in the top seven in the division, so it’s clear what area boss Ersun Yanal needs to reinforce in the upcoming transfer window.

Which is why it’s no surprise that they are reigniting their interest in Everton’s Niasse, having reportedly tried to sign him in January, although the Toffees’ hefty asking price appears to be putting them off a permanent deal, with it reported that they want to secure a loan move for the 27-year-old.

Although it remains to be seen whether Trabzonspor are able to get a deal done for Niasse this summer, what does appear clear is that the striker’s future is away from Goodison Park.
