Crystal Palace have been one of the busiest Premier League sides in the transfer window so far, making four signings as well as bringing in new manager Patrick Vieira.

The Frenchman arrives at Selhurst Park having taken over from Roy Hodgson, and with the vast majority of the senior squad from last season having departed.

The Eagles have already signed goalkeeper Remi Matthews from Sunderland, former Reading attacker Michael Olise and defender Joachim Andersen, who spent last term on loan at Fulham.

Arguably Palace’s biggest signing so far, however, is that of former Chelsea defender Marc Guehi.

The 21-year-old arrived at the club for around £18 million, having impressed while on loan with Swansea in the Championship last season.

Guehi is one of two Chelsea youngsters to leave permanently so far this summer, and it appears that he could soon be joined by a former teammate.

Gallagher spent last season on loan with West Brom.

According to The Guardian, Vieira’s side are on the verge of signing Blues midfielder Conor Gallagher on loan.

The 21-year-old was pursued by Palace last summer but ultimately ended up at West Bromwich Albion, but it appears he has now chosen to move to the club on a season long loan deal.

It is reported that the Englishman opted for the move over potential deals with Leeds United and Newcastle United, with the latter having already signed former Blues midfield youngster Lewis Bate on a permanent deal.

Palace will likely have a much younger squad next season, with the new signings all replacing the likes of Andros Townsend, Gary Cahill and Patrick van Aanholt, who have all since departed.

Despite featuring in a struggling Baggies side, Gallagher impressed on loan last season during his first season in the Premier League, scoring on two occasions.
