Interim Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will be looking for his first win since returning to the club when they face Brentford on Wednesday.

The former England international has seen his side lose all four games since making a sensational return to Stamford Bridge last month, but he will be hoping to end that run against The Bees.

This summer looks likely to be one of significant change at the club, with a permanent successor to Graham Potter yet to be appointed and a number of players facing uncertain futures.

Several players will likely be sold following Chelsea’s spending spree over the past 12 months, and it now appears that two stars are targets for Barcelona.

As per The Mirror, the Spanish giants are eyeing moves for both N’Golo Kante and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Kante, 32, has established himself as one of the world’s best midfielders in recent seasons, but has struggled with injuries this term.

The Frenchman has been limited to just six appearances across all competitions, and faces an uncertain future in west London with his current contract set to expire this summer.

Kante is a target for Barcelona this summer

The former Leicester City man has made more than 265 appearances for Chelsea in total, but the La Liga leaders are reportedly set to offer him a two-year contract in a bid to lure him to Catalonia.

Aubameyang, meanwhile, has endured a frustrating spell since leaving Barcelona to return to the Premier League last summer.

The forward has made just 19 appearances across all competitions so far this term, scoring three goals.

In February, the ex-Arsenal man was omitted from Chelsea’s squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League, and he featured very rarely during Potter’s brief spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.

During his time in Barcelona, Aubameyang netted 13 times in 24 matches across all competitions, and manager Xavi is reportedly keen to re-sign the Gabon international.
