Tottenham Hotspur duo Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks are both set to depart the club in the coming days, reports state.

According to Sky Sports, Spanish full-back Reguilon is closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid.

The La Liga giants allowed Renan Lodi to join Nottingham Forest on loan over the weekend, freeing up space in their already competitive squad for Reguilon, who has fallen almost entirely out of favour under Antonio Conte.

The 25-year-old joined Spurs from Real Madrid in 2020 and was a regular under both Jose Mourinho and Nuno Esperito Santo, but the arrival of Conte last year triggered a decrease in his playing time.

The Italian has preferred the likes of Ryan Sessegnon, Ben Davies and, more recently, Ivan Perisic over Reguilon, who hasn’t featured in a matchday squad for the club so far this season.

The Spanish international will now join Atletico on a season-long loan, with no option-to-buy clause, the report claims.

Reguilon looks set to join Sampdoria on loan

Winks, meanwhile, has also endured a rather steep decline in terms of his playing time.

The midfielder emerged in the club’s senior set up in 2015 and had established himself as something of a regular by the 2016/17 campaign.

Since 2020, though, the Englishman has struggled to secure a starting spot in The Lilywhites’ side and, like Reguilon, he is yet to be included in a matchday squad so far this term.

The 10-time England international has fallen behind the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma in the pecking order in north London.

According to the report, Winks will join Italian side Sampdoria on loan in the next 24 hours.

The deal is said to be a straight loan deal with no option-to-buy clause included, also similar to Reguilon’s agreement.

Spurs have been one of the Premier League’s busiest sides during the current transfer window, with Perisic, Bissouma, Fraser Forster, Djed Spence, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet all arriving in the capital.
