Aston Villa are reportedly favourites to land Roma forward Adem Ljajic.

The Serie A outfit are thought to be keen on offloading the Serbia international, with Villans boss Tim Sherwood eager to splash more cash and make Ljajic his 11th summer signing this transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who saw a proposed move to Premier League rivals Manchester United collapse back in 2010, scored nine goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for Roma last season.

Ljajic, who has 12 international caps to his name, has fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio Olimpico following the arrival of Premier League imports Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko, meaning Villa could snap up the ex-Fiorentina forward for a cut-price deal.
