Villa plan audacious deal for 19-year-old Belgium starlet

Aston Villa have reportedly joined the hunt to sign Anderlecht starlet Samuel Bastien.

The Premier League outfit, who remain bottom of the table despite their goalless stalemate against joint-leaders Manchester City on Sunday, have registered their interest in the Belgium midfielder ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 19-year-old, who is a Under-21 international, has scored one goal in seven Serie B appearances whilst on loan at US Avellino this season.

Bastien’s impressive performances in the Italian second-tier has also alerted the likes of Serie A giants Napoli and La Liga side Sevilla to his services, although new Villa boss Remi Garde is also thought to be an admirer of the youngster.
