Villa tracking Belgian striker as Garde aims to add goals

Aston Villa have sent scouts to watch Gent striker Laurent Depoitre.

The 27-year-old Belgium international has scored seven goals in 15 matches for the Champions League outfit.

However, despite seeing his side advance to the last-16 of Europe’s elite competition, the former Oostende forward could be tempted by a January switch to the Premier League.

Remi Garde is desperate to bring in at least one striker when the window opens with his side currently bottom of the league and having scored just 13 times in 16 games.
