Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! Portland Timbers forward Fanendo Adi had a day to forget against Colorado Rapids on Sunday, despite scoring the winner in their eventual 1-0 victory in Major League Soccer.

The 26-year-old Nigerian striker, who joined the US outfit from FC Copenhagen back in 2014, netted from an earlier spot kick to seal the outcome, coolly slotting the ball past former Manchester United and Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard between the sticks.

However, when offered the chance to double his goalscoring tally for the afternoon and increase Portland Timbers’ lead over Colorado Rapids, Adi completely fluffed his lines with his second spot-kick.

Despite scoring the winner, the occasion will fondly be remembered for this atrocious miss, after scuffing the rebound horribly wide of the mark after 37-year-old Howard initially blocked his penalty kick.

Have you seen a worse miss this year? If you have, comment below…
