Despite Crystal Palace suffering a barren run in the Premier League of late, after six consecutive league defeats, at least the prospect of youth player Jordan Norman-Williams provides optimism for the future.

The 16-year-old, who was born in January 2000, will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow tricky Eagles stars Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Bolasie, who left for Everton this summer, after showcasing some spectacular skill in the below video from our friends at Furious Football Diaries (FFDTV).

Norman-Williams races away from his marker, rapidly drags the ball back from an oncoming opponent’s grasp, before subtly flicking it through his legs to complete a divine nutmeg – which also eventually found his team-mate, after being floored.

The attacking midfielder, who has previously stated that his top three favourite players off all-time are Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Zinedine Zidane, may perhaps give Palace’s first-team manager Alan Pardew food for thought given his men’s disappointing displays in the top-flight of late.

Their entertaining 5-4 defeat to the hands of Swansea City at the weekend means the Eagles hover above the Premier League’s drop zone on goal difference.
