Could this be a turning point in Oumar Niasse’s Everton career?

The Senegal international will certainly be hoping so! Niasse netted an impressive hat-trick for Everton’s Under-23 side as he bids to try and break into manager Ronald Koeman’s first-team plans.

The 26-year-old, who has eight international caps for Senegal, netted his treble inside 21 first-half minutes during the side’s 6-3 victory over Reading on Monday night.

Niasse, who arrived at Goodison Park from Lokomotiv Moscow back in February for a reported £13.5m, becoming Everton’s third most expensive signing of all time, has failed to feature under Koeman in all competitions so far this season.

The striker is understood to have been told to leave the club by the former Southampton boss, as he is surplus to requirements at the Premier League outfit.

Niasse recently opened up in an interview about his “really sad situation” at Everton, where he trains with the club’s youngsters, despite not even being allocated a locker.

Perhaps the striker’s latest feat for the Under-23s will change the Dutchman’s mind?
