Watford consider shock £10m bid for out-of-favour Premier League winger

Watford are reportedly considering making a surprise £10m January swoop for Ecuador international forward Jefferson Montero, according to The Sun.

The newly promoted Premier League side, who face Newcastle United this weekend, are interested in recruiting the out-of-favour Swansea City winger this month.

The 26-year-old, who has 53 international caps for his country, has failed to score in 17 league appearances for the struggling Swans this season.

Montero, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium from Mexico outfit Morelia back in July 2014, could follow fellow winger Nordin Amrabat’s into moving to Vicarage Road following his £6m move from Malaga earlier this week.
