Watford have reportedly joined Middlesbrough in the race to sign £9 million-rated Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

The Scotland international looked set to complete a move to Boro over the weekend after they agreed a fee with Rovers, however the move was called off yesterday due to a failure to agree personal terms.

However, the deal is said to be back on as the close of the transfer window approaches tonight, with the Hornets joining the chase to sign the prolific attacker.

Rhodes has scored 82 goals in 155 appearances in all competitions for Blackburn since making the move from Huddersfield in 2012.
