Watford are reportedly interested in signing Roma forward Juan Manuel Iturbe on loan.

The Premier League outfit are understood to be willing to cut short the loan spell of Victor Ibarbo from fellow Serie A outfit Cagliari if they can recruit the Paraguay international until the end of the 2015-16 campaign instead.

The 22-year-old, who arrived at the Stadio Olimpico from Hellas Verona for a reported €22.5m  last summer, has scored one goal in 11 league games for Roma so far this season.

Despite having only scored five and assisted five goals since his big money move in July last year; Hornets boss Quique Sanchez is keen to bring Iturbe to Vicarage Road during the January transfer window, with fellow forward Ibarbo heading back to Italy after just three appearances for the club.
