Watford have completed the signing of Napoli full-back Juan Camilo Zuniga on a season-long loan deal.

The Colombia international, who has 62 caps for his country, can play on either side of the defence and links up once again with Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri, having worked under the Italian for four years during the duo’s time together in Naples.

He becomes the club’s fourth addition of the summer, following in the footsteps of Jerome Sinclair from Liverpool, Christian Kabasele from Genk, and the club-record signing of Isaac Success from Granada.

Zuniga made 125 appearances for Napoli during seven seasons at the Serie A outfit, and also spent a short period on loan at Bologna at the start of this year.

Watford’s return to the Premier League last term ended with a 13th-placed finish, while they also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, although their league form since the turn of 2016 was disappointing, with them winning just four top-flight matches.
