Watford already look the be the best-equipped to survive in the Premier League this season out of the three promoted sides, but none of the plaudits will go to their summer signing from Roma.

The Greece international’s Hornets career didn’t get off to best of starts when he denied he had signed a contract despite the move being announced on the club’s official website, and things haven’t got much better since the move was completed.

The 31-year-old has made only three appearances in the league, and was told by manager Quique Flores to up his game if he wants a place in the team.
