Watford are keeping an eye on two Championship players ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Hornets are sitting one place and two points above the relegation zone so will be keen to bring in new faces to help their survival challenge.

According to the Mail, one of those potential new faces could be Huddersfield Town winger Sorba Thomas.

Thomas has made the leap from non-league.

The 22-year-old has made a real impression with the Terriers since signing from non-league side Boreham Wood in January.

Thomas has made 30 Championship appearances and scored his first goal against Reading at the start of the season.

It’s claimed that Watford are tracking the Welshman, who won his first two senior international caps in October.

Additionally, Football Insider have reported that the Vicarage Road side also have their sights set on Bournemouth stalwart Steve Cook.

The 30-year-old has only featured four times since Scott Parker took over the Cherries in the summer.

Cook has played 390 times for Bournemouth.

However, Watford will be aware that the defender would offer them valuable Premier League experience having played 168 times for his current side in the top-flight.

It’s claimed that the Hornets are keen on signing Cook, who is also on QPR’s radar, for a cut-price fee as his deal with Bournemouth expires in the summer.
